Words to Give By
Working with the Hartford Foundation for Public Giving and WNPR, Connecticut’s public radio station, Civic Mind created Words To Give By, a community storytelling project to collect, record and share stories of everyday generosity.
In 2015, The project visited 17 locations in 15 towns and collected 154 audio interviews from 170 participants—each one recounting a compelling, unique and personal acts of kindness. Interviews were edited and shaped into 2-minute stories that aired weekly on WNPR from April to November. Civic Mind led the creative direction for the inaugural initiative, from designing the branding and marketing campaign to developing the community outreach experience.
